Next up for the Bears is an Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round match when we welcome the player's, officials and supporters of Faversham Town FC to the BodyMould Community Stadium on Saturday 31st August.

This will be the first of our fundraising days for St Catherine’s Hospice, the Clubs chosen Charity Partner for the 2024-25 season. A local charity with a big ambition: to help everyone face death informed, supported and pain free. Providing expert hospice care, they are for people in West Sussex and East Surrey when life comes full circle. St Catherine's also pioneer standards in end of life care through collaboration, research and training, reaching even more people facing death and bereavement. We probably all know someone, a friend, relation or colleague who have been cared for at St Catherine’s so if you can spare some change then please donate in the buckets provided by volunteers or make a donation using the QR Code situated on posters around the ground or on the front of the match day programme.

Faversham Town play in the Southern Counties East Premier Division and last season they finished in second place behind Deal Town missing out on promotion to the Isthmian League in the Play-Offs.

This will be their third trip to Sussex this season in the FA Cup. In the Extra Preliminary Round they travelled to Bexhill United and came away with a 1-0 win. The next round saw them drawn away to Isthmian League Littlehampton Town where they were again victorious with an impressive 3-2 win.

The Lilywhites have started the season extremely well and are unbeaten in all competitions this season with two wins and two draws from their opening four league matches, the latest of which, last Monday, when they won 3-0 at Whitstable Town.

The two sides have never met before but we can expect a really difficult game.
