Recreational Ground
Given the location of the new sports and recreational ground south of the existing Leisure Centre and directly below the ancient woodland known locally as High Wood Hill, it should come as no real surprise that the name chosen by members of the Football Club, seniors and juniors is “High Wood Hill Sports Ground”.

Pavilion
The Club are also pleased to announce that the name of the new sports pavilion will be “The Malcolm Curnock Pavilion”.

Malcolm was a member of Broadbridge Heath Football Club for over 40 years; originally as a player but also as a junior team coach, manager of one of the adult teams, reserve team linesman and for over 30 years a valued member of the committee.

At the same time he was also a long serving member of the Broadbridge Heath Parish Council and he represented the village as District Councillor from 2011 to 2015. Once it was known that Broadbridge Heath was to virtually double in size, Malcolm worked tirelessly to try and secure the best possible facilities and infrastructure for the growing village.

His commitment to ensure that Broadbridge Heath had the recreation and sporting facilities, particularly for football, that it deserved was unwavering. It is very sad for us all that he is not around to see the plans turn into reality but at least we can pay this small tribute to him.
